Well it certainly has been an exciting 2008 so far. Mike and I have been very busy trying to prepare for parenthood while teaching full-time and both going to school part-time. We are getting there though! In the past three months we have found out that we are having a girl!!! Everyone in the family is so excited! I am almost through my sixth month and still have not gained 1 pound, partly because about 5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I am on a pretty restricted diet. Honestly, I haven't felt this good in a long time. It's amazing what eating right does for your energy level!!!
We also are excited to announce that our good friends Kelynne and Doug just had their little boy and he is so precious. They are all doing well and are finally home. Also Amy and Randy announced that they are expecting their second child!! What an exciting time. Mike and I are thrilled that Stephanie and Ross are getting married in July and we wish them all the happiness in the world.
Today, mom is coming over and we are going to all go pick up the baby's crib and armoire for the nursery. We also ordered a really pretty glider and we are going to work on a bookshelf and toy box next!!! I am hoping to have the nursery almost finished by the end of the month. I can't wait!!!
Here is the most recent sonogram picture we have of our little girl. Mike and I were both so suprised to see her little face. What a neat experience!
